A Gal’s Self-Improvement Kick

Carla and I are working oh-so-hard to make things proper in each of our worlds. After my third marriage ended, , and let us only say it is over, please, I just knew it was time to force a change. Not just any change, I’m talkin’ a heavy change, girlfriend.

Yet it just looks like everyone wishes to keep me down. Life is so difficult, ain’t it? When I saw my doctor to talk about the tummy tuck cost I had been quoted, he just lectured me regarding finding the proper kind of fitness. He recognizes I have been doing everything I can, plastering on the scar zone cream and making all my beauty salon equipment to earn their price.

Yet he only keeps lecturing me about dieting and exercise, saying to me that my body will improve over the long term if I handle it like I care for it it.

He’s strong on biking, but I told him bicycle seats bother me and I just cannot fathom wearing those small cycling jerseys. Is he attempting to abase me? At least he got a bit more reasonable when he started speaking about stuff I could do in the solace of my own house.

Exercise bikes might certainly work better for me than riding out in public and weight benches and exercise mats are a bit more my style.

Yet I also feel that I get plenty of fitness in my daily life. Just last calendar week I found tons of exercise tugging around Charlene’s garden cart while we adorned her patio for her sister’s birthday party. Rearranging the garden bench layout for open-air party seats after moving the Weber Grill made for some good weight lifting. And then the stretches and movement necessary to get all those position right was like aerobic exercises.

Does it sound like I am making excuses? I don’t care, friend, that was hard work! After all that partying and decorating I reckon I burned one thousand calories. I challenge some treadmill joggin’ fool to push garden carts around for three hours and see how they feel.

I do not mean to sound querulous. I will get it all in concert. I simply wish people would sometimes center on what I have finished instead of what I still must complete. I know it is not simple being you, but it isn’t simple being me, either. We all got to work hard to be prosperous, I think.
