So, You Want to Stop Snoring

At times, the irony of life favors those that are actually causing life’s little problems. I mean, you’re the one that snores, but your sleeping partner has to pay the price. I can’t think of any other condition that lets the one with the problem pass the misery and suffering to someone else. If this sounds familiar, you really need to find a way to stop snoring. Maybe some of the following suggestions will help eliminate your snoring problems and let peace return to your bedroom.

You must make every effort to not sleep on your back. People that snore commonly have excessive tissue on the back of their throat that relaxes during sleep obstructing air flow. Sleeping on your back only increases the obstruction.

Many people have found relief in the form of a snoring sprays that are widely available. Many of these sprays are designed to keep your throat muscles from relaxing too much and blocking your airway.

Keep in mind also that being overweight is a huge contributor to snoring. Overweight prople have more fatty tissue in their throat, making the problem worse. You may find your snoring will go away with the extra weight, if you’ll lose it.

Other things that may contribute to snoring are drinking alcohol before bed, many common sinus pills and cough syrups, and smoking. These things can help to relax muscles and contribute to your snoring.
